MONTHLY MEETINGS

PVAS holds monthly meetings on the 1st Tuesday of the month

PIONEER VALLEY AQUARIUM SOCIETY’S NEW MEETING SITE

PVAS will be meeting at the Springfield Science Museum until further notice.
The same first Tuesday of the month(except July & August)
Meetings will start at 7PM.We will have all the usual activities(Bowl Show,Mini Auction,Refreshments).Great speakers and they have aquariums to view before the
Meeting.

From the North - Take Interstate 91 South to Exit 7. Turn left onto State Street, proceed for three blocks and you will see the large, white marble Springfield City Library building on your left. Take the first left past the library onto Elliot Street and then the next left onto Edwards Street.

From the South - Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 6. Stay on Columbus Avenue to State Street. Turn right, proceed for three blocks and you will see the large, white marble Springfield City Library building on your left. Take the first left past the library onto Elliot Street and then the next left onto Edwards Street.

>From the East - Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit 6 (I-291). Exit at Dwight Street (Exit 2B), turn left. Follow Dwight to State Street. Turn left at the light, go through another light and you will see the large, white marble Springfield City Library building on your left. Take the first left past the library onto Elliot Street and then the next left onto Edwards Street.

From the West - Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Interstate 91 South and follow I-91 South to Exit 7. Turn left on State Street, proceed for three blocks and you will see the large, white marble Springfield City Library building on your left. Take the first left past the library onto Elliot Street and then the next left onto Edwards Street.

Parking: Free parking is available in the lots on Edwards Street.

Less Than Four Weeks Away!

The 2008 statewide MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals is almost here. On Sunday, September 7th, over 3,000 animal lovers and over 1,400 canine companions will be walking on the same day, at the same time, for the same reason: to promote kindness and care for animals.

Your support of the Walk helps us continue to care for over 250,000 homeless, injured and abused animals annually. Your fundraising efforts have helped us raise over $87,000 to date, but we still need your help to reach our goal of $300,000 statewide. And to show our appreciation for all of your hard work to help animals, we are offering fundraising gifts ranging from tote bags to GPS navigation systems. August Fundraiser Appreciation Week: To thank this month's hardest-working fundraiser, we will give a free MSPCA-Angell tote bag to the walker who raises the most funds online between August 13th and August 20th.

Helpful Fundraising Tips

1. Sign up and tell your friends and family. Just click on the "Register Now" link, create your Walk fundraising page and send emails to everyone you know asking them to join your team or make a donation.

3. Double your money. Many employers offer matching funds programs - ask your company and remind your supporters to do the same.

4. Set up a viral campaign. Include an MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals message and link in your email signature. Include a Walk blog or link on your social networking sites like Myspace or Facebook.
